Diapers & Wipes Drive/Meals
Congratulations Mindy and Jeff Truly on the birth of Todd Hamilton on Saturday November 24 at 1:48 a.m. He was 8 lbs, 12 oz.
We will be collecting diapers and wipes for Todd in class over the next few weeks. Their preferences are: Pampers Swaddlers Size 1 or 2 and unscented wipes.

Class Christmas Party
When: December 14, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Home of Rusty and Julie Grayson, 4938 Tremont St, Dallas, TX
What to Bring: Your favorite finger food or dessert and a white elephant gift (don't buy anything, just look around your house and wrap up something you don't want - bring one gift for each person that wants to participate)
What to Wear: Casual dress

Care/Prayer Leader Couple Needed
Thanks be to God that the Tolers have agreed to be one of our Care Prayer Leader couples! As we see it, we need one additional couple to serve our class in this way at this time. The main responsibilities are to pray for the people in your group daily, contact them biweekly (every other week), lead in-class small group prayer time for your group and coordinate out-of-class small group fellowships. Please pray about serving our class in this way and email the Busicks at jenrich2@netzero.net if you are interested.

BIRKHEAD CLASS NEWS
Tohlen Care’s Ministry to provide Thanksgiving dinner for residents on Monday, November 19. This ministers to the many single residents with no family in town and young marrieds who do not go home for the holiday. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated. Please contact Jennifer & Brett at tohlencares@sbcglobal.net to sign up for a dish. You can bring the dish Sunday to class for them to reheat if you need to.

Mark your calendars for the class Christmas party December 14th to be held at the home of the Grayson’s. Childcare is provided at the church that evening. Register for childcare online 2 weeks before.
Men's Accountability Group
Men, please reply to jenrich2@netzero.net if you are interested in joining a class accountability group. Depending on the number interested, we will open the Monday night group to new members or start a new group.
AVAILABLE PLACES OF SERVICE
Care/Prayer Leaders
As we see it, we need two couples to step into this role at this time. One of our groups is getting too large for close fellowship and another needs one of the younger couples to step in and lead so that the mentor couples can focus on the job of mentoring. We're asking each couple to pray about serving our class in this way - if you're sure it's not you, then please pray for God to provide.Remember:*God will equip you for it if He's called you to it*God will help you to order your priorities if He's calling you to it and you don't think you have enough time*It does not matter where you live, our plan is to regroup every time we need Care/Prayer Group Leaders according to where the current leaders live (thus making the group members closer and closer geographically if the class grows)Serving in this role can be as simple as adding 5-10 minutes to your daily prayer time and 6-8 phone calls to your biweekly (every other week) schedule.Please reply to jenrich2@netzero.net if you will serve the class in this way.

We need someone to serve by taking over the position of class prayer emailer. This person would need to be able to be in class by 9:30 to hear the requests and then forward them by Monday for the class members to pray over. Please reply to jenrich2@netzero.net if you will serve the class in this way.
Welcome Desk Rotational Volunteer
The Harrells need people to serve alongside them at the Welcome Desk. The job requires man/womaning the desk outside the 5th floor Criswell Center from 9:00-9:30 once a month. You would welcome people as they exit the elevators and help visitors know about available classes and their locations. Obviously you need to be approachable and willing to approach strangers to be a good fit for this job. The 4th and 5th Sundays are what need to be covered at this time. Contact Michelle at shellharrell@yahoo.com if you are interested.
Blog Administrators
We would like one member from each Care/Prayer group that is not the group leader to volunteer as their care/prayer group blog administrator. This would entail updating the blog with YOUR group's events including but not limited to pictures from the event or birth announcements. This is really an easy thing to do, training available to anyone interested (a short phone conversation and it's done!). Please e-mail Mindy Truly truropa@sbcglobal.net if you are interested in serving the class in this way.
