Class Project
Class member Andy Pfeiffer is organizing our "adoption" of a family in need this Christmas. The father was working at the Reunion Tower restaurant which will be closed for a year while it is being renovated. The mother has two part-time jobs that she works when she is well enough. She has cancer and is taking chemotherapy. They have three children pre-teen age. It was decided that the best way to help them was to collect Wal-Mart and Best-Buy cards and contibutions toward their mortgage payment of about $1,000 which is due December 20.
Andy will be taking the contributions in class again this Sunday and will deliver them sometime shortly after that.
Church Schedule Changes
December 19 - last Wednesday evening meal and prayer meeting for 2007, resumes January 9
December 23 - no evening worship service
December 24 - Christmas Eve & Lord's Supper, 5:00 p.m., Sanctuary
December 24, 25 - church offices closed
December 30 - no evening worship service
First Thursday Potluck
Resumes January 3
Home of Richard and Jennifer Busick, 8911 Aldwick Dr, Dallas

Class Christmas Project
Class member Andy Pfeiffer is coordinating our "adoption" of a family from one of our mission churches this Christmas. The husband was working at the Reunion Tower restaurant, which is closed for a year for renovation. The wife is was working two part time jobs but is now taking chemotherapy for cancer and unable to work. They have three children (boy 14, boy 13, girl 11) that have been attending the mission church since Vacation Bible School.
Andy spoke with the wife. It was decided that Wal Mart gift cards, Best Buy gift cards and monitary donations to go toward their mortgage payment of approximately $1000 that is due December 20th would be the best way to help them.
Andy will be collecting donations at the Christmas party and for the next two Sundays in class. Please pray about making a contribution.

Class Christmas Ministry Opportunity
Our class has an exciting ministry opportunity this Christmas organized by our own Andy Pfeiffer! See more info. from him below:
One of our mission churches has a family that is in need that we are going to adopt this Christmas. It is a family of 5. The father has just lost his job at the rotating restaurant at Reunion Tower because it will be closed for a year due to renovations. The mother has cancer and her chemo and radiation treatments have made her too sick to work her 2 jobs. As a result the bills are piling up quite quickly.
They have 2 sons (13/14 and 11) and a 10 yr old daughter. The children have just started coming to one of our churches since VBS but the parents do not attend.
We will let you know of specific needs shortly, but since there are only 3 Sundays left before Christmas we wanted to pass this along as soon as possible so you can be praying about making a contribution.
Class Christmas Party!
Next Friday, December 14
6:30 p.m.
Home of Rusty and Julie Grayson, 4938 Tremont St, Dallas, TX, 214.660.1021
Bring your favorite finger food or dessert and one wrapped white elephant gift for each person that wants to participate in the gift exchange (don't buy anything - look at this as your opportunity to unload something).
Dress is casual.
Diapers and Wipes Drive & Meals for the Trulys
We will be collecting diapers and wipes to give to the Trulys in class on Sunday. They are using Pampers Swaddlers size 1 or 2 and unscented wipes.
If you would like to take a meal to the Trulys, please email Rebecca Scott at toddandrebecca@tx.rr.com to coordinate a time.
